Chilly December Day
Well today up at the Woodlot was a cold one. I was one of the first up the hill and there was frost on the ground especially the first part of the trail up. Because I didn't have all that long to ride this morning, I decided that I would just go up to Giant Killer and then Hoots and finish with Shotgun. All I can say is that it was a cold one going up. I did not see anyone on the way up or on the trails. This was one of those days that I wish I had slept in and started later in the day. I say this because I took a nasty spill off the medium sized A-Frame on Giant Killer. I could barely make it up one of the sides because it was so slippery, then on the way down, I barely touched front brake to try and control my speed and basically fell from the top all the way to the bottom landing hard. I hate ice, especially black ice on wood. Needless to say the rest of the ride was cautious. Down the rest of Giant Killer to Hoots and then down Shotgun.
